Mission:
NAGC’s mission is to be the unifying voice of gateway communities and the center of collective action on their behalf. The association acts as a liaison with public land agencies, serves as an advocate for Gateway communities, and provides resources and technical support for the long term challenges influencing community vitality brought about by proximity to public lands.

Strategies:
- Work closely and cooperatively with public land management agencies to develop system wide recognition of the diverse needs of Gateway Communities.
- Become a strong advocate for developing alliances and coalitions with major national organizations representing environmental, travel and tourism, recreation and community development interests.
- Become the clearinghouse of information about policies and decisions of interest to gateway communities.
What We Do:
The National Association of Gateway Communities serves as a liaison with public land management agencies and gateway communities to facilitate decisions that sustain vibrant, healthy communities and America’s natural resources.
